A quick and flavorful spicy tilapia recipe cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Crispy on the outside with a tender, flaky interior, this dish is perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

4 tilapia fillets (about 6 ounces each), skinless and boneless
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 lemon, cut into wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, kosher salt, dried oregano, and chili powder.
Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels.
Brush both sides of each tilapia fillet with olive oil.
Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of each fillet, pressing gently to adhere.
Place the seasoned tilapia fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
Cook the tilapia in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Carefully remove the tilapia from the air fryer and transfer to serving plates.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
